Voice Studio
Lauren Drake is a Seattle-based actor, vocalist, singer-songwriter, musician, improv comedian and voice teacher. She specializes in private voice lessons and has additional experience teaching songwriting, acting, audition technique, beginner piano and guitar. As a teacher, Lauren aims to inspire a love of singing in young performers as well as refine the skills and technique of experienced singers. Lauren has studied with renowned voice teachers herself such as Kate Bass in Los Angeles, Dr. Kari Ragan in Seattle, and various coaches/teachers in New York. Through her years of learning, teaching and overall curiosity about voice study, Lauren has developed a method of teaching that is active and encouraging. Lauren’s students can expect to grow in musicianship and artistry while simultaneously developing healthy, sustainable vocal technique.

In her musical theatre career, Lauren has performed on stages such as The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Rep, 54 Below (NYC), and ArtsWest. Her work in Spring Awakening at the 5th Avenue earned her unanimous praise from the press, highlighting her "rich voice" and "killer vocals." As a singer-songwriter, she has released four singles and one EP, available on all music streaming platforms. She earned her degree from Pepperdine University studying theatre (acting) and music (theory, vocal performance).

Lauren’s students have ranged from all ages. She specializes in musical theatre (contemporary and legit), pop/rock and singer-songwriter (including songwriting coaching, beginner piano and beginner guitar) styles. She also offers audition prep/coaching, acting, and career coaching for those interested in professional careers.

Rate: $90/hr. 30-min lessons and discount packages are also available.
Location: In-person lessons are held at Lauren's private studio in West Seattle. Zoom lessons are also available.
